Beth Jacob Synagogue welcomes Dr. Yonatan Adler, Senior Lecturer at Ariel University.

We all know and cherish the traditional origins of our Jewish Heritage: "Moses received the Torah at Sinai and transmitted it to Joshua, and Joshua to the elders, etc" (Avot 1:1). But what does archaeology have to say about the historical origins of Jewish ritual practices? Dr. Yonatan Adler of Ariel University will present the latest results of his research on ancient mikva'ot, tefillin, stone vessels and more, which point to the very beginnings of practices which form the basis of Judaism as we know it today.
