The Shpiel on the power of poetry to tell Israel's story

On this episode of The Shpiel on Hamilton, Israeli educator Rachel Korazim joins us to explore the power of poetry to illuminate Israel’s past and present. We discuss The Mirror of the Times, her bilingual anthology of Natan Alterman’s poetry, and Shiva, a collection of poems written in the first six months after Oct. 7. Together, these anthologies offer a window into Israel’s history, identity and complex realities, while giving voice to the grief, questions and resilience of its people.
